It’s been a minute. Or two.

Inspired by…
October 21, 2019There’s a movie coming out in December that looks very good. It’s called 1917 and it’s about WWI. While I’m not sure I’ll check it out in theatres, then trailer made enough of an impression on me that I felt inspired to go this.
I’ve been working on this on and off for about two months, but I think I’m done enough with it.

Inspired by real life
September 24, 2019Em was extra snuggly tonight before bed with her mama. It seemed fitting to work it into a strip.

Juicy
September 6, 2019I feel like my creative juices are starting to thaw out a little bit, but I’m still not quite there yet. I’m going to try to post a thing every day or so. That help.

Facing it
September 4, 2019I’ve been struggling with drawing lately. This includes my comic strip so it’s been on a bit of a break. It might be more than a bit. But that’s ok.
I sketched this out tonight while Sara was getting Emma ready for bed. I figured I’d post something.

Dry spell
August 27, 2019I’ve been going through a really dry spell with drawing. Everything I’m doing is bad. I can’t seem to snap out of it.
Things just seem odd. I attempted this self portrait, but I just don’t like it and I want to delete it.

Collaborate
August 2, 2019Em wanted to help me with my next comic strip. The lines are mine. The colors are hers.

Hearts
July 28, 2019Our hears broke yesterday when we had to say goodbye to our dear Katie. She’s been a huge part of our lives for 11 years, and these last few years have been especially difficult for her.
She spent her last day with me and my wife, eating yummy treats and getting plenty of love. She went peacefully on our back deck with the our voices in her ear.
All week I tried to draw a picture of her, but I just couldn’t. This was the best I could do. I might finish this some day.

Blue in the face
July 17, 2019This was a sketch that turned into inks that became painted. And it turned out pretty nice, I would say.
