For the second week in a row, I’ll be missing my Wednesday update, but I’m going to post a preview of the strip.

January 11, 2019

I finished this today. It’s the middle panel of tomorrow’s comic strip.

My confession is that I missed an update on Wednesday because I’ve just been so tired. Emma has not been sleeping, so neither have we.

To make up for missing a post, I decided to color this. You can check it out at www.kitschcomic.com.

Financial planner

January 7, 2019

Sara bought me a calendar to keep track of our finances and bills. The cover was replaceable so I had to come up with something.

I did this for my mother while she was visiting this weekend.

So long, 2018

December 31, 2018

For Christmas, I bought Emma a large pad of paper and some washable markers. We’ve had a lot of fun sitting at her little table and drawing.

She would offer suggestions on what to draw, including “puppy,” “kitty,” and “Frosty the snowman.”

Of course, as soon  as I draw something, she improves upon it with a few choice lines of her own.

This is something I drew a few weeks back. I’m posting it because I have been pretty slow to update my blog because I’ve been busy elsewhere.

Hey, Yoga

This is a panel for an upcoming strip. I rather liked how this turned out so I wanted to share.

Happy Birthday

December 22, 2018

Today is my daughter’s second birthday.

Like Watterson?

December 14, 2018

My comic idol is easily Bill Watterson, creator of Calvin and Hobbes.  His scenery in his comic strips was also incredible — even when it was just black and white.

This is my attempt at channeling him.

Something I threw together over the course of a couple of nights.

Honestly, I haven’t been feeling super creative so I haven’t been drawing.  I also haven’t been super happy with some of my drawings lately.
